A Canadian Pacific manifest crosses the massive Lethbridge Viaduct (High Level Bridge) which links Kipp Yard near Coalhurst to Lethbridge, Alberta. Completed in 1909, this 1624m long, 95.7m high structure has 33 towers supporting 66 plate girder spans and one riveted lattice truss. It's difficult for the observer to take in this structure and to comprehend its size - which is not helped when a train passes over it, knowing how big locos and rolling stock are. It's too much for the brain to take in. I didn't know until I packed up the camera gear that I was surrounded by Gartner (Gardner) Snakes during filming. Fun times.
