Emergency department is scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. on March 28
CBC NewsThe emergency room at the Fort Macleod Health Centre closed Friday due to a staffing shortage and is set to remain closed until 5 p.m., according to Alberta Health Services.
The closure is due to a "clinical personnel shortage and an inability to secure temporary coverage," AHS said in a news release.
All other services at the health centre will continue normally.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency while the emergence room is closed.
